I’m the founder of Elite Blog Academy® and CEO of Ruth Soukup Omnimedia. I’m also a New York Times bestselling author of seven books, the host of two top-rated podcasts, and the founder of several other multi-million dollar brands, including Living Well Spending Less, Do it Scared and my newest brand Thinlicious. 

Over the past 15 years, I’ve had the opportunity to have my work featured pretty much everywhere—on national TV shows like The Today Show and Good Morning America, as well as dozens of print publications, including Time, Forbes and Entrepreneur. 

I’ve even given a viral TED  talk on overcoming fear.

And while I am proud of the things I’ve accomplished since first starting my business in 2010, I’m not sharing all of this to brag, but to assure you that I do actually know what I’m talking about when it comes to online business, and I have the credentials to back it up.

But if I’m being honest, all those “achievements” aren’t actually the thing I’m most proud of.

And what makes me a great Business Coach isn’t all the things I’ve done right, but all the hard lessons I’ve had to learn along the way.

Because the truth is that my road to building the business I have today has been long and hard, with a LOT of ups and downs along the way.

When I started my first blog in 2010, I was just a stay-at-home mom of two small girls—the classic mommy blogger, which I suppose was really the precursor to influencing as we now know it.

And when I started, I literally knew nothing about blogging or influence or starting a business.

I was just trying to figure out how to make enough money online that my husband would be able to quit the job he hated so much. I saw that there were other people making money online, and figured that if they could do it, why not me?

But I’m not gonna lie—those early years were TOUGH. 

I mean, first of all, this was way back in 2010, so there were no courses on how to make money online. I just kept googling “how to make money online,” and kept trying all the things to try to make it work. 

I’m not gonna lie—I was a little obsessed with just trying to figure out what was going to work. I was constantly researching and testing all the tactics I could find, often without any measurable results, until finally, after 3 long years, all that effort started to pay off—I had figured out a formula that worked. At least for a while.

Things took off pretty quickly after that, and I was able to retire my husband in 2013.

And I wish I could say that was the end of my story, that it’s been nothing but sunshine and roses ever since, but that’s not exactly true either.

In the years that followed, I’ve had to continually figure things out and continue learning and growing.

I’ve had huge successes and epic failures.

But ultimately, I know it’s my ability to dig in and figure out what’s working right now, even in an industry that is constantly evolving, that has helped me to grow my business to a multi-million dollar empire.

And now I get to help others do the same.

Since founding Elite Blog Academy in 2014, I have taught over 15,000 students to launch and grow their own 6,7 and even 8-figure online businesses.

My commitment to you is to always go ahead of you—trying out the new trends to see what works and what doesn’t. Figuring out exactly what is working in online marketing, that isn’t just another fad that will be gone tomorrow. And then sharing it with you, broken down in the best way possible.
