Thank you for sharing your favorite + free plugins! I have a wordpress blog and some of these plugins, but not all of them. I’m definitely checking out your recommendations! Many thanks! <3

I always seem to have too many plugins, so this is a great list to remind me, that less is more!

Can’t wait to implement some of these. A few I already use but I’m always looking to make things better for my readers and gain more readers! Thanks for sharing!

I’ve had a blog (Blogger) for a few years, but it was more for the joy of writing because I never made a dollar! I wasn’t even aware that I could make even semi-decent income from a blog! Then, 4 years ago (I think) I sort of fell into editing. Love, love, love it. After working with a smaller company that was a seriously bad fit for me, I started doing freelance editing. Then I started to miss writing. Then we found out that, after 7 years of thinking no baby would be in our future, I was pregnant! Joy!!! Annnnd, horrible but sickness! It never went away. As a matter of fact, the day Mason was born, I weighed significantly less than before I got pregnant.
Anyway, I haven’t really posted to my blog in, will I can’t remember! I did change the color scheme and use some other new-ish (for Blogger) additions. As far as posting content, writing, pushing traffic to For God’s Daughters, not even a little ‘e’ for effort!
I just made the decision last night to set up a new blog on WP, so the timing for this post is incredible for me. Do you use Bluehost for hosting EBA? If not, what do you suggest for WP newbies with husbands, a toddler, a dog that thinks he’s a toddler, a nosey and needy mother who lives in the same property and has erroneously decided that said newbie needs to go on the 30mile roundtrip to the local Walmart DAILY? YES, I heard you think it. I’m hoping the mother issues in the bud post haste! Live your posts and I seriously appreciate your efforts to help others create whatever their dream big is by posting credible, valuable and GENUINE information people can use.

Is there a benefit to using the Google Analytics plug-in for WordPress over just going to analytics.google.com?

P.S. I am impatiently counting the days til EBA opens!! 🙂

Starting to add these plugins as a WordPress newbie and wanted to let you know that Akismet isn’t free if you use it on a for profit blog, only a hobby blog. If you sell products or use advertising, then you have to pay a subscription fee. The rest are free though. Can’t wait for EBA to open either!

    Hi Ruth,

You have become my new best friend! I love my new planner!! Life changing!

However, I am so incredibly stuck on my blog. I have genesis framework and a restored316 Refined theme installed, but that’s it….I’m lost on setting it all up. I feel like all I do is watch tutorials and everyone tells me something different.

So thankful you are consistent and I feel that I am home when I read all of your advice.

Thank you so much for sharing so graciously!
